The biggest misconception is that time heals emotional wounds and pain. It does not. Pain and trauma has to be dealt with. A simple prayer and one experience of deliverance will not fully heal you. If you’ve harbored pain for years, you will not be fully healed overnight. It is a process. You need to continually pray and forgive. You have to allow God to heal your wounds. You need to go to God. Whatever pain you hold inside you will affect how you live your life. How can you be free? Recognize the problem you have and know that it is your own problem, take responsibility, repent, forgive. Break any curses over your life, whether it was spoken from yourself or someone else over you. Surrender your pain to Jesus.
