Prayer is a two way communication with God in the now. Without communication there is no relationship, man cannot know God without prayer. People don't know the value of prayer until they have a need, but prayer is not meant for a need, it's meant for intimacy with the Father. The love of God should be the motivation to why we pray. If you only pray when you have a need, God will keep you in that need because He needs to make sure you’re faithful to prayer. In the life of Jesus prayer was the engine that generated every miracle but His life was not defined by the miracles, they were defined by His prayer life. A generation will not arise beyond its prayer life.
