The purpose of the Holy Spirit is not only to guide us to God's will, but also to convict us. Many times, as believers we can make the mistake of leaning on our own understanding, but the Bible tells us, "Lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight". Once we submit to God, we give room for the Holy Spirit to move us toward His will for our lives.
