Transformation represents movement, change. It is the process of maturity that leads us to be like Christ. That is our call, to be more like Him. The heart is who we are. It is our identity. The healing of the heart will connect us to the heart of the Father. When your heart doesn’t change you become religious, you start to do things mechanically. This will affect how you pray and seek God and ultimately it will hinder your relationship with Him. The heart of a person is the resting place of the presence of God. That is why the Word says to guard our hearts above all else. If someone’s heart is hurt, it cannot be God’s habitation.
